Rescue & Rehoming

Heaven on Earth’s rescue commitment is to cats who have few, if any, other options. With that in mind, we primarily take cats and kittens from overcrowded municipal shelters. At any given time, we are hosting 300-350 cats and kittens at our sanctuary and at area adoption centers. Each adoption that we can facilitate allows us to save more lives.

We have weekly adoption events in Van Nuys, Santa Clarita, Sherman Oaks
Encino, and Tujunga, as well as cats at the NKLA adoption center in West LA.

Interested parties complete an adoption questionnaire and are screened thoroughly to match the right cat with the right family. As a result of our in-depth adoption process, Heaven on Earth’s return rate is far below the national average and at the same time, our adoption totals have been steadily increasing, projected to exceed 800 in 2018.

Forever Care

Perry’s Place provides shelter to dozens of cats and kittens with no place else to go. Some are temporary residents until that forever home comes along. For others—those who aren’t eventually adopted—Heaven on Earth is their home.

The seniors, special needs, shy, or simply overlooked cats that call Perry’s Place home receive quality food, medical care and lots of love in a clean, cheerful environment.
