The sixth Heaven on Earth Gala, celebrating The Perry MacFarlane Legacy, was a spectacular success, raising a record $180,000, which represents 30% of our 2016 operating budget.
At next weekend's gala, we will honor Amanda Seyfried, the wonderful actress, model, and singer, who uses her platform to champion animal rescue. Amanda is serving this year as spokesperson (along with her dog Finn) for Strut Your Mutt, the Best Friends nationwide dog walk and fundraising initiative.
We are so excited to thank 20th Century Fox TV Animation at the 2016 Heaven on Earth gala — The Perry MacFarlane Legacy. They are our partners during the holidays for Giving Tuesday, when we bring Perry’s Place cats to the office and receive Fox employees’ generosity in return. (They also happen to employ two of our favorite MacFarlanes, supporting Perry’s legacy in more ways than one!)
Heaven on Earth is very proud to once again take part in Strut Your Mutt and WE NEED YOUR HELP! Strut with us, invite your friends, and raise some money for the cats and kittens of Perry's Place! All raised funds come right back to our organization and will help us do our part to make Los Angeles a no-kill city!
We are very proud to honor Karma Rescue at the 2016 Heaven on Earth gala — The Perry MacFarlane Legacy. Continuing the theme of our past two galas, this year’s hero among us will be the inaugural recipient of The Perry’s Passion Award, acknowledging Karma's unrelenting dedication to animals, canine and feline alike.
We're in the 8th month of the year, we're just over 8 weeks from the event, and, well, Sesame Street said it best: 8 is great! We'd like to share with you 8 GREAT Reasons to join us for Race for the Rescues!
Strut Your Mutt isn’t your average dog walk. It’s about saving the lives of homeless pets across the country. That’s why Best Friends partners with local animal welfare groups, national sponsors and passionate individuals like you to walk for a cause.
Heaven on Earth is gearing up for Race for the Rescues 2016! This annual walk/run is one of our favorite events, as it combines our love of fundraising to help more cats with the excitement of a 5k/10k race!
